Year 5&6 Girls Rippa Team - Forsyth Barr Stadium.
My heart was thumping as I ran onto the field at Forsyth Barr Stadium. My rippa rugby team had been asked to play a game at halftime of the women's, England vs Canada game on Friday night.
When me and my team went down to the bottom seats and through the gate we put our rips on and our belts then we talked about our strategy for the game…
I was so excited yet nervous. We were playing Musselburgh school. As soon as my hands touched the leathery ball I ran straight. I got ripped, and I passed the ball to one of my teammates.
We could see ourselves on the big screen! It was so amazing!
I could hear the crowd cheering for us saying GO OUTRAM! Soon enough Musselburgh School had the ball.
When Outram finally got the ball back Brooke Hamilton and Poppy Sutherland managed to score a try!
The last try of the game was by Outram, but we weren't able to win the game.Sadly Musselburgh won:(
The game was only 10 minutes long when I was playing on the field I had the best time of my life! When the actual game of rugby finished England dominated Canada scoring-42-12!
At the game, my team and I got some of our things signed by some Canadian rugby players.

Halftime, our chance to shine.
All the pressure is on us. Outram girls year 5/6 got chosen for an opportunity to play Rippa Rugby at halftime at Forsyth Barr during the women's Canada vs England game.
In a line heading out as a team seeing how many random people were looking at us. The cold breeze biting at our skin, nothing could make me more nervous. It's just the feeling of us getting beaten with all of those people watching us. But it did kind of happen, it was like 2-7 we lost.
Can you believe that we were on live tv! Also I am the first person in my family to get a try in the Forsyth Barr! I got one of the tries for my team.
