On reviewing how we performed against our 2022 goals, the board was pleased that most actions were complete. This was the first year in a 3-year cycle, so many of the goals involved getting a new initiative underway.

The teaching team have been trained in, and started using, Play is the Way, mixing it in with our school values. This is complimented by the behaviour management plan, which was created and rolled out mid-year by the newly established leadership team.

The learning assessment practices of the whole school were independently reviewed, and we received excellent feedback on the alignment of monitoring throughout the school. Teachers attended training on maths and literacy and have been starting to upskill on the curriculum refresh that is happening.

Many of the 2023 goals build on the foundations created in 2022, and the board is looking forward to supporting the school to achieve them.
