Kim Allan —

TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE THEM TO TREAT YOU.

Our first Life Raft for the year is "TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE THEM TO TREAT YOU". This is also known as the Golden Rule.

When it comes to controlling our personal behaviour the Golden Rule is considered to be the most important rule of all. That’s why it’s called the Golden Rule. In class discussions and activities, teachers and the children will explore this concept and relate it to themselves, their friends, their relationships and interactions with others at school and in life.

This life raft ties into our school values of Respect (whakaute), Kindness (atawhai) and Integrity (pono). As classes settle in and get to know each other they are working on their class treaty. You will see these displayed in their classrooms when you come in for Goal Setting Conferences on Tuesday 21st February.
