Netball 2025
Calling all students from Outram, Waihola, Strath Taieri and Lee Stream Schools who want to play netball.
Please complete this form signalling your interest to be placed in a team. This will allow us to work out the number of teams we will be able to enter this year.
For those new to netball at Outram, or considering playing for the first time, here is some brief information to help make your decision.
Netball is played on Saturdays at Taieri College courts and is open to all Year 0-8 students.
Practices for Year 2-8 teams are held on Thursday afternoons at the Outram School courts. These run from 3.15pm to 4 or 4.30pm (depending on age). Our first practice will be on Thursday 1st May.
Games begin on Saturday 10 May. Games are not played on long weekends or during the July school holidays.
Girls and boys can play netball.
Year 0/1 is an introduction to Netball – skills programme. This is played in the Indoor Training Centre at Taieri College. No practices are held for Year 0-1 netballers as their Saturday sessions are skill based.
Year 2 play 5 a-side; Year 3/4 play 6 a-side and Year 5-8 play 7 a-side. Netball fees range between $45-55 depending what age level played at ($20 for Year 0/1).
Finally - calling coaches, managers and umpires - we need you!
In order to enter a team we need to have adults who are willing to fill these positions. Please don’t wait to be asked or think “I’ll do it if no one else puts their hand up.” We need to know who you are today! If you are new to coaching we offer support through coaching courses and providing resources to give you ideas. I will be at practices to help out if needed.
