Connecting with whānau

Mike Hart —

Week 4, Term 1, 2021

Kia ora koutou,

Every year around Week 5 of the first term we provide an opportunity for parents/caregivers to connect with their child's Homeroom or Learning Mentor Teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity to make that connection and feed into the conversation about your child and what makes them tick as a person and as a learner.

For our Year 1-3 learners, this will be a chance to meet the Homeroom Teacher and an opportunity to ask questions. For Years 4-13, it is a goal-orientated discussion looking forward. These goals will be recorded in Educa (educa.co.nz) our live reporting tool that will keep you up to date with your child's progress as and when it is naturally occurring.

These conferences will be held Wednesday 3rd March at school from 11.20 am-8.00 pm for Years 4-8 and 8.00 am to 8.00 pm for Years 9-13.

Years 1-3 will be holding a Meet the Teacher Evening on the same day from 5.30-6.30 pm.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as we can on this dedicated day. Take time to view the article in this newsletter which will take you through the finer details of the day.

On a completely different note - please be aware that over this weekend our school will host a number of visitors from the Canterbury Caravan Club. They will be parked up on our school field.

Enjoy your weekend.

Ngā mihi nui,

Mike Hart
