Learning Assistants (Teacher Aides) at OAS.
Introductions from our special group of Learning Assistants this year.
Kia ora I’m Jayne Rumary. I’ve just recently started here at OAS. I have 2 of my 3 children here in the junior school. In my spare time I like to read, have a laugh and head away to our bach with my whanau.
Kia ora. I’m Nicky Stagg and I've been a Teacher Aide at Oxford Area School for over a year now. I so enjoy my role working with your children, and I also love working alongside the awesome teachers at the school. I also work at the Oxford community trust too, as a youth worker. We live in Oxford with 4 teenage/young adult boys, who have all attended OAS. We have so much fun together with our friends and family in our spare time which include sports, water activities and travel.
Kia Ora I’m Dawn and I have been working here for 2 1/2 years now. We have a small farm on the outskirts of Oxford, and I have 2 boys at OAS. When I’m not working, I spend my time with our horses and other animals around the farm, sewing and reading.
Hi I’m Celeste Morris. I am originally from the Phillipines and I moved to New Zealand 20 years ago. I enjoy working as a Teacher Aide and the country life with my husband and two kids.
Kia ora koutou! I’m Anna-Marie. Teacher aiding is one of the most rewarding jobs you can do...and I can honestly say that I love my job! I am working at OAS a couple of days a week and currently am working mostly in the Senior school with Years 9-11 which I am really enjoying. When there is a bit of spare time...I love to read, go horse-riding and trying out new artistic endeavours. If you see me around please say hi....one of my hobbies is that I love to chat too!
I am Jessica Claridge and I work as a Teacher Aide across the school. I come from a background in Education including High School teaching and ESOL. I am enjoying taking more of a supportive teaching role and find great value in working one-one with students who need some extra guidance.
