Shave For A Cure success

Sharyn Varcoe —

Thursday, 30 September was when some of our brave students and staff shaved for a cure. So far we have raised over $3700. There is still time to donate to this worthy cause.

Six senior students and three staff members shaved this year; Liam Bamford, Shaugn Kilgour, Cole Stagg, Jacob Nish, Straeci Abalos, Alex Eginton-Abbott, Mr Thompson, Mr Kean and Mr Hart.
Thank you to our 'hairdressers' Megan, Miss Ramsey, Ms Davis and Mr Mullis. Likewise, thank you to everyone who has got in behind this worthy cause and donated to our team.

Shave for a Cure is a New Zealand wide initiative which supports funding for cancer research and brings awareness to patients and their families living with blood cancer. There is still time to donate to the Oxford Area School team through the Shave for a Cure Website, so if you would like to contribute, there is still time before the donation period ends!

Donations can be made at https://shaveforacure.co.nz/t/oxfordareaschool
