Oxford Area School Hui

Jacqui Paterson —

We held our Whānau Hui on Wednesday, 18th of November, 2020.

We had a good turn out at our  Whānau Hui last week. Our Kapa Haka group performed for us.

Our Kapa Haka staff were thanked with a presentation each. Kendra Ward and Louise Hayes, who have supported the Kapa Haka over the last few years were farewelled. They are both leaving to take up roles in other schools next year.

Our kōrero was based around the discussion topics of:

What skills can whānau offer to enhance our programmes?

How can we better support our Māori whānau?

How can we grow kapa haka into our year 9-13 part of OAS?

We received a lot of feedback from whānau to inform the agenda for our future whānau hui in 2021.
