On Wednesday, the students in Whetū Kaupō were involved in an amazing Antarctic experience.

We were very fortunate to have Sarah from the Antarctic Heritage Trust spend the entire day with us. The students listened to an incredibly engaging presentation about Antarctica in the morning. Sarah had a wealth of knowledge and the students asked some pretty tricky and well thought out questions. Sarah, herself has been to Antarctica three times.

All the students all had a turn on the chrome books watching and listening to the 2D virtual reality experience that was all about Hillary's Hut. 

Some students also got the opportunity to do the full 4D virtual reality experience. 

It was amazing to have Sarah available all day to answer lots of questions the students had.
