Eyrewell Forest Restoration Project
A group of keen Year 6-10 conservationists took part in a tree planting and education day at Eyrewell Forest on September 4th.
With our school value focus being Kia Haepapa - Be responsible, the students showed they were being responsible for our local environment helping out of this restoration project in conjunction with Conservation Volunteers NZ. Ruud Kleinpaste ‘The Bugman’ was also on hand to share his vast knowledge of bugs and what we can do to encourage native species back into our backyards. The students all had a great day, despite the weather not being the best. A big thank you to our parent helpers too!
