Welcome to Term 3. We are enjoying seeing everyone back at school and we are looking forward to some fun learning experiences this term. All classes are engaged in their learning and there is a very positive vibe in every space. The photos show lots of hardworking students across Years 1-6.

Years 1-6 Assemblies

These are the dates for our Years 1-6 assemblies which are held in the GP hall. 

Monday 8th August 9-10 am

Monday 5th September 9-10 am

Parents are welcome to attend. For the Monday 8th August assembly under the current Covid Protection Framework all visitors are required to comply with our policy of mask requirements in place at the time of their visit. This means that for Weeks 1-4 of this term visitors to school must wear masks. Please check the CPF for our second assembly. 

Team Explore

We are looking forward to our camps at Woodend Camp in Weeks 3 and 4 of this term. After camp our learning about Oxford and our community in the past will begin as we build an understanding of the past 150 years in preparation for our School Jubilee in Term 4. We have trips to Ferrymead and the Oxford Museum planned as part of this learning, more details to come closer to the time. Across our team we are choosing a different part of our local history to learn about. 

Team Discover

Our main focus for this term is the 150th jubilee of Oxford Area School. We have some classes visiting Rossburn Museum, Ferrymead and the Oxford Museum to learn about our local history. Within our team, we will be choosing different aspects of life in the past. 

Reminders

Messages to Students - If you need to get an urgent message to your child please ring the school office before 2:30 pm. Our office staff will get a message to your child. Our teachers are busy teaching and often do not check emails at this time. 

Uniforms - Everyone is looking really smart in their school uniforms. Please remember that white, black or navy thermals can be worn under school shirts. 

Teacher Only Day - There is a teacher only day on Monday 22nd August.
