Parents , students and friends attended a special assembly on Friday 22 February to honour those students who had gained a Merit or Excellence endorsement in their NCEA certificates in 2018.

The guest speaker was former OAS student Katelyn Inch who was selected as part of the New Zealand team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Katelyn spoke about taking risks and working towards your goals.  She said she never dreamt when she was in Year 8 that she would be achieving what she has, and she was proud of coming from Oxford Area School.

A great message thank you Katelyn,  we are proud of you too!
