Boyle River Camp - Outdoor Education Class

Emma Don —

In the last week of Term 2 our senior Outdoor Education class spent a week at Boyle River Lodge in the Lewis Pass.

Over the four days we were away, students completed a series of adventure based learning challenges, low and high ropes, rock climbing abseiling, along with leadership skills in the outdoors.

They also tramped into the Magdalene Hut on the St James track for a night.

The weather was kind to us and we very much enjoyed our time spent as a class working on our outdoor skills such as navigation, decision making, leadership and teamwork.

Our skills will be put to the test next term when we tackle a trip to Lake Daniells and Hanmer Forest. Along with the various challenges that every day life throws at us!

Outdoor Education makes us all better people, well equipped to deal with life's ups and downs. Thanks team for another great trip :)
