Introducing Team Library 2024

Having served as a Librarian for over two decades, I've had the pleasure of working in various schools and connecting with some truly remarkable kids! But, what makes this moment especially exciting for me is the opportunity to work in a brand-new, beautiful library. How amazing is that?

On a lighter note, I have a weakness for junk food. Wouldn't it be wonderful if burgers, pizza, and fish 'n' chips could be healthy? Perhaps that's the secret to their irresistible taste! I'm also a big fan of theme parks; there's something incredibly invigorating about speeding on a roller coaster, experiencing loop-de-loops, and letting out a good scream – it's truly soul-nourishing!

Another passion of mine is embarking on road trips. I dream of driving across Canada one day, retracing the road trip my grandparents took when they immigrated to New Zealand.

If I hadn't become a school Librarian, I often imagine myself as a radio announcer or a weather presenter on television. Sometimes, I find myself wishing for three lifetimes just to accommodate all the things I want to experience!

Kia Ora,

I have been a part of the Oxford community for nearly four years and Oxford Area School for the last two years. I started at OAS as a reliever between having my children before I got the wonderful job as Librarian Assistant. I have always had a huge passion for reading and spent much of my break time at Primary and High school in my school library reading. Even now it would be rare to find me without a physical, audio or ebook. I am thrilled to be a part of our wonderful new library and share and encourage my love of books with the students.

Happy Reading.
