1st Day of 5 'Day' Ski trip
40 Students carved up the slopes at Porter's Ski Field.
This is the 3rd Year that students from OAS have taken part in a 5 'day' ski trip. We had the first day on Friday, and 40 students from year 1 to year 12 took up the challenge to improve their skills. At least half the students were up on the Chair Lift, which was better than any other year. The enthusiasm and pride these students had in their accomplishments was infectious. Students just starting to learn their snow skills mostly progressed to the 'pommer' and were challenging themselves to come down the slope in control. There were many grins, and they just didn't want to leave!
Can't wait to see how these students' skills progress after the next few visits.
Thanks to the parents who accompanied us up to Porters, and helped support our students. Your help and enthusiasm is appreciated.
