We were very lucky to welcome Aaron Orangi, a New Zealand Olympic Ambassador to Oxford Area School.

Students of Team Explore and Year 7 & 8 were very excited to welcome Aaron Orangi to Oxford Area School. In 2006, Aaron was one of five New Zealand bobsleigh racers selected for the Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. 

Aaron talked about his Olympic dream and how he got there (in a very different sport than he originally imagined)! The students enjoyed listening to Aaron's journey and what was involved in being in the NZ Olympic bobsleigh team. It was exciting to see the bobsleigh in person and the equipment/gear involved.
