Year 7 - Ryde Falls Walk

Megan Lowen —

On 31st October the Year 7's went on a walk to Ryde Falls.

It was a long drive to get there. We were all split into groups (in my group there was Hannah, Finn, Max, Hugo and Lauchlin. We all had leaders from the ARA Institute of Canterbury. Our leader put  Hannah  and myself at the front of the line, he said that it was because girls are more responsible. We were a very fast group so we had to stop and wait for the other groups because they were a little bit slower than us.

It took us a bit but we got to the waterfall by 1 pm. We ate some lunch in the picnic area then looked at the waterfall; it was so beautiful. We played Ninja and made a bivouac,  then it was time for us to go. The walk back was all up hill for the first bit but otherwise fun. We packed up, hopped in the minivans and had the long ride back to school.
