Cell Phones in Years 1-6

Jacqui Paterson —

Students in Years 1-6 should not have cell phones at school.

Year 1-6 students should not have cell phones at school. We understand that sometimes it is necessary for them to bring to school to communicate with parents after school. If this is the case then the phone needs to be handed to the homeroom teacher, or the office, when they arrive at school and collected at the end of the day.

Please set up a system with you child's homeroom teacher so they know when your child has a phone at school therefore they can ensure that they have the phone in safe keeping. This maybe just a matter of emailing the teacher in the morning or calling the school office for a message to be passed on.

If your plans change during the day, the best form of communication to get a message to your child is through the school office. Our number is 03 3124197. It is best to contact the office by 2.30pm to ensure that students can be informed before they leave school at 3pm.

We do appreciate your support.
