The Rite Journey
The Rite Journey is a programme designed to support the development of self-aware, responsible, respectful, resilient and resourceful young adults. It is a Rite of Passage into adulthood.
Group and individual challenges, as well as camp were a highlight for many students over the year. Our school values of positivity, caring, responsible and respectful are woven into the programme as students get to discuss transitioning into young adults. Conversations about what really matters and how they manage difficult life events are a huge part of what is discussed.
Completing a solo overnighter was a huge challenge for many of the Year 10s, but one that they all agree was a great experience. We laughed a lot, shared stories, ate some disgusting things (the girls also ate lollies) and we all challenged ourselves and pushed our limits (including the staff).
