Week 4, Term 1, 2021

We are looking forward to lots of fantastic learning experiences to add to the fantastic start we have had in 2021.

Due to Goal Setting Conferences, there will be no classes running for our Years 9-13 students on Wednesday 3rd March. They should only be on site when attending their goal setting conference with their parents/caregivers.

These will be held on Wednesday the 3rd of March.

Planning for our lunchtime clubs is underway and will be up and running in Week 6.

In Week 6 on Friday the 12th of March, we have our annual House Day. 2021 marks 10 years since the first House Day at Oxford, and it’s also the 10 year anniversary of the Christchurch Earthquake. After the February quake, the school was given funding to be aimed at improving and maintaining the mental health of students, and Oxford developed the House Day concept. That means it's been a decade since the very first House Day, and with that in mind, this year's House Day has been named Decade Day.

Upcoming sports events: CCHS Athletics, Dragon boating, Basketball

In warm morning temperatures the students participated in one of four sections of the programme.

On Tuesday our Oxford Stars team started their Summer Hockey at the Waimakariri Turf in Rangiora.

Billets, helpers, pumpkins and products for Welcome Packs are required!!

Walk or wheel to school day is on Wednesday 3rd March

To be held at South Hagley Park on Sunday 11th April.

Students can bring scooters, skateboards and bikes to school but we do have some rules around their use once inside the school grounds.

A huge "thank you" to the parents and staff who came to help at the Ravensdown tent at the ChCh A&P Show. We had three awesome teams who helped with serving lunch to about 2,000 people over the three days.
