Who's Who at PNGHS

PNGHS —

E rere ana ngā mihi manahau i roto i ngā tini āhuatanga o te wā. Ka mihi kau ana tēnei uri o Tainui Waka ki a koutou katoa.

My name is Suzie Watling. I am really excited to be one of the new deputy principals at Palmerston North Girls’ High School. I am of Tainui descent. My husband Kahui and I have four children who grew up in the Manawatū, with our two daughters both attending PNGHS a few years ago.

I have more than 28 years teaching experience in a range of education settings in the Manawatū, including mainstream, special character and kura kaupapa Māori, as well as a community literacy initiative. I was most recently employed at Massey University on the Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching, where I was responsible for the practicum component of the programme, which also provided me with opportunities to connect with secondary schools locally and across the country.

I am looking forward to getting to know and make connections with our students, staff, whānau and wider community.

Ngā mihi nui,

Suzie
