On Thursday 3 August some of our Year 11 Geographers participated in the Maatangi Whenua Inter-school Geography competition at Massey University.

Charlotte Askin, Sophia Sun, Ngavaine Ramea-Pongi, and Fatima Azhar formed two different teams and did a brilliant job representing PNGHS through all eight rounds of the Geography quiz, competing with other schools from all across Manawatū-Whanganui region.

Despite having one less member in each team than the other schools, they placed 4th and 10th out of all 15 teams. 4th place was a tough fight, with Charlotte and Sophia only missing out on 3rd place by 1 point!

Well done to both teams on a great night.
