On Thursday 8 August, 24 students from Years 9 and 10 represented PNGHS at the Manawatu Mathex competition.

PNGHS also hosted this event with over 20 senior students acting as markers and helpers on the day.

Our team had some outstanding success:

Year 9

PNGHS A - 1st place - Emily Fletcher, Izzy O’Brien, Yu Shan Lee, Aramaia Burns

PNGHS B - 3rd= place - Lizzie Peel, Seina Evans, Koharu Tsutsumi, Ali Pinkney

PNGHS C - 4th place - Ellkia Klein, Annie Li, Crystal Wang, Liwan Zhou Griffin

Year 10

PNGHS C - 2nd (lost on tiebreaker)- Emily Parlato, Shuhan Cao, Scarlet Baker, Liana   Singh Homs

PNGHS A - 3rd - Hazel Murray, Ashlyn Osborne, Annie Srichantra, Annabel Irwin

PNGHS B - 7th - Millie McLean, Georgina Irwin, Car Ann Venter, Sanya Singh
