Here are some reflections about the award experience:

Lara Roos

For my Duke of Edinburgh’s Award I volunteered at the Salvation Army shop, did judo as my new skill and went for walks as my physical recreation.

Haewon Kim

As part of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh programme, I chose violin for skill, volunteering at the Palmerston North Youth Space as service, and archery for physical recreation. My highlight of the award was going tramping and learning new skills.

Olivia Mildenhall

For my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, I learned French for my skill, archery for my service and volunteered at Youth Space for my service. My highlight of the award was the tramps with my friends.

Katelyn Cody

For my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award I did drama for my skill, volunteered at the Manawatu Toy Library for my service and went for walks for my physical recreation. My highlight of doing this award was going on tramps and getting to meet new people.

Bianka Chaffey

For my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s award, I did baking for my skill, dance as my physical recreation, and volunteered at my dance school for service. I enjoyed learning a new skill and helping others whilst completing my service.

Sophia Pinkney

For my bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, I did Canoe Polo for my sport, Saxophone for my skill, and for my service I taught people how to sail. My highlight of the award was getting the experience of going on tramps.

Ava Dyeming

For my Duke of Edinburgh, I did baking for my skill, volunteered at the Arohanui hospice shop for service and did running for physical recreation. My highlight was helping others at the hospice shop.
