Through the workshops, the following students were nominated for Golden Tickets to compete in the Gold Awards in November: Abby-Rose Bailey, Amelia Simpson, Demi Dawson, Grace Cohen, Isabelle Pryde, Ivy Yang, Kaydence Cochran, Kyla Forsyth, Maia Niwa, Monique Bright, Paige Dale-Hodson, Sophia Leong, Tilly Spencer, Willow Brizzell.
The Gold Awards are a brutal competition where students have to learn and perform a crazy number of dances in multiple genres all in one day and then perform them all in a knock out type scenario until there are only five dancers left standing. It’s like something you’d see on reality tv.

This year 174 schools were involved across the motu, so we can be very proud of our dancers - to have three team dances progress to Nationals, as well as three soloists, is very exciting and hard won.
National teams and solos are on this Saturday and National duo/trios are on this Sunday so further results to come.
