The Junior Drama Group recently performed This Isn’t Kansas by Jennifer Blackburn as a culmination of their year’s work.

A fun-filled remake of The Wizard of Oz, the play is about five bored teenagers who find themselves in another world and need to visit ‘The King’ to put things right again. Slightly familiar figures are met along the way, and the Munchkins prove their worth, or their frivolity at the very least, as they ‘follow the lunatic toad’ (you know the tune). Directed by Junior Drama leader Elizabeth Tichbon, and supported by Junior Drama coaches, crew, and all-round problem-solvers Emily Haines, Shanay Rossiter, and Emily Gunn, this group of Year 9 and 10 students have been a superb group to work with this year, and came into their own in this performance. We hope to see this same level of energy, expertise and collaboration continue into 2021.
