PNGHS —

Hockey:

A great week for the PNGHS 1st XI Hockey team who competed in the Lower North Island Hockey Premiership in Palmerston North:
vs Iona College win 5-1
vs Sacred Heart New Plymouth win 7-0
vs Queen Margaret College win 2-1
vs New Plymouth GHS drew 1-1
vs Wellington Girls College lost 2-3
Finals day finished in 4th place PNGHS vs Napier GHS 2-2 draw at full time (4-2 in the shoot out to Napier). 

Netball Umpiring:

Congratulations to Neriah Kaihe-Woolston (Y12), who was awarded her New Zealand Centre Netball Umpiring Badge. This is a significant achievement for a school student.

Rugby:

Well done on the PNGHS U15 Rugby Team for competing at the Hurricanes Youth U15 Rugby Tournament:

vs Manukura lost 0 – 53

vs Wainuiomata College lost 5 – 49

vs Feilding High School lost 10 – 32

vs Aotea College won 7 – 0

vs Te Waiwhenua lost 5 – 12

The team finished 8th overall in the tournament.

Smallbore Rifle Shooting:

Congratulations to the following girls for their results at the Smallbore Rifle Shooting Secondary School S Championships:

The PNGHS Team placing 2nd overall. Steph McNair (Y12) score of 497.29 is just 2 inners off the Triple S record of 497.31 set in 2013.

A Grade:

1st Steph McNair (Y12) 497.29

5th Briar Summerhays (Y12) 486.25

C Grade:

2nd Amelia Burt (Y10) 482.12

D Grade:

1st Caley McNair (Y10) 476.15

Congratulations to the PNGHS Smallbore Rifle Shooting Team Caley McNair (Y10), Steph McNair (Y12), Briar Summerhays (Y12) and Amelia Burt (Y10) for winning and retaining the Inter Collegiate Secondary School Regional Championships.

Congratulations to both Steph McNair (Y12) and Briar Summerhays (Y12) who have been selected for the North Island Junior Team to shoot a postal match against Scotland.
