INTERNATIONAL DEPARTMENT HOMESTAY PROGRAMME FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Would you like to host an International Student?

We place some of our International Students into a Homestay Family for their time they are at PNGHS.  Some students are here for short term and others are here for long term. Short term students can be from 1 week upwards and Long term students can be from 1 term to the end of their secondary schooling here.  Hosting an International Student is a very rewarding experience for our Homestay Families.  You will treat the student as you would your own daughter.  Your family is her “family away from home”.  Our students are from various countries and generally come with varying levels of English.  Placing the student in a homestay is extremely beneficial for their learning of English and also learning about our Kiwi Culture.

You will be paid $260.00 per week Homestay fee.The homestay will provide: 

  • English speaking environment
  • Bedroom, linen, towels, (laundry)
  • Internet
  • Transport if required
  • 3 healthy meals per day

We have an Information Pack available, this has all the requirements and information you will need to know about hosting a student.  Our International Department offers 24/7 support to both the families and the student.  If you are interested please make contact with me:
