North Island Secondary School Swimming Championships
The North Island Secondary School Swimming Championships were held on 11 & 12 June in Wellington.
Day 1 Report:
Congratulations to the U15 4 x 50m Freestyle relay team of Milan Glintmeyer, Danica Phillips, Scout Carter and Alahna Singleton winning gold in a close finish just ahead of Iona College.
Huge congratulations to Milan Glintmeyer 13 yr old 1st 100m IM, 1st 50m backstroke, 1st 100m Breaststroke, 1st 100m Freestyle, 1st 100m Butterfly (NZ record)
Alina Wong - 15 yr old 1st 100m IM, 1st 50m Breaststroke, 2nd 50m backstroke, 3rd 100m Freestyle
Day 2 Report:
The team consisting of Georgia Packer, Anika Moleta, Scout Carter, Danica Phillips, Milan Glintmeyer, Daisy Sun, Annemarie Wiedow, Alahna Singleton and Alina Wong finished Day 2 with more medals.

Overall the efforts of the PNGHS swimmers placed our team 2nd overall for all girls schools, just behind Napier Girls’ High School.
