Reviews and Reconsiderations
Students have been receiving their NZQA external examination papers in the mail over the last couple of weeks. It is good to check each of your papers that the marks have been transferred correctly and the marking annotations.
You can apply for a review (transfer of marks error) or a reconsideration (your paper will be remarked) through your NZQA learner login page. It costs $20.40 per standard for a reconsideration, however this fee is waived under some circumstances.

This site will have information about applying for a review or reconsideration for Scholarship examinations, Visual Art and digital examinations.
To apply for a review or reconsideration students log into NZQA and their learner login page. All instructions on how to apply can be found on this site.
The reviews and reconsiderations are due to NZQA by Friday 26 February.

2021 NCEA Timetable
Changes to NZQA procedures for 2021
There are two changes to NCEA procedures as a result of the nation wide NCEA Review that was conducted in 2018.
Resubmissions - This is when a student has an opportunity to adjust their work to correct a small error during the marking process. In 2021 and beyond if a student completes a resubmission the highest grade they can gain is an achieve.
Students can gain an Endorsement with Achieve in 2021. This is when a student gains at least 14 credits in a subject including at least one external standard. There are some exemptions to the external credits for example Physical Education. This qualification adds to the Merit and Excellence endorsement students are able to achieve.
