The silver award ceremony was hosted by Mayor Grant Smith, who is the patron of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards in the Manawatu region, and we appreciate this opportunity to celebrate the success of students in our local region.

Congratulations to these recipients - they have learned new skills, served in local communities, explored new places in New Zealand, extended themselves and found out that they can achieve more than they thought was possible.

The success of the Duke of Ed programme relies on students who have initiative, determination and perseverance – along with the support of family, assessors and co-ordinators - well done to you all.
