New Zealand Secondary School Swimming Championships

PNGHS —

Five PNGHS students competed at the NZSS Swimming Championships recently and were awarded the Swimming NZ Top All Girls School award for 2022.

The students, Alina Wong, Anika Moleta, Scout Carter, Danica Phillips and Milan Glintmeyer, came away from the meet with some excellent results.

Silver - 15 Yrs and U 4 x 50m Medley Relay (Alina, Anika, Milan, Danica)

Bronze - Open 2 x 50m Freestyle Relay (Alina, Milan)

4th - 15 Yrs and U 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay (Alina, Anika, Scout, Milan)

Milan Glintmeyer won Gold medals in the 13 Yrs 100m IM; 100m Backstroke; 200m Butterfly; 100m Freestyle; 50m Butterfly; 200m Backstroke; 50m Backstroke; 100m Butterfly; 200m Freestyle; 200m IM; 50m Freestyle and Silver in the 400m Freestyle.

She also broke the NZ records in the 100m IM and 100m Butterfly.

Alina Wong won silver in the 15 yr 200m Individual Medley, bronze in the 15yr 100m IM; 50m Breaststroke; 200m Backstroke and placed 4th in 100m Breaststroke and 50m Freestyle; 6th 50m Backstroke; 8th 100m Freestyle; 10th 100m Backstroke.

Anika Moleta placed 7th in the 15 Yr 200m Breaststroke, 200m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke and 8th in the 100m Breaststroke.

Scout Carter placed 10th in the Yr 14 200m Breaststroke.
