Olivia Grace Hintz
E rere ana ngā roimata
E hotuhotu ana te manawa
E hahae ana te tau o te ate
Kua haere te taonga ki te moenga roa.
Auē te mamae!
Olivia was a popular and well liked member of our kura with a strong set of friends. She was a kind, caring, positive and mature young woman.
Olivia involved herself in many activities and groups over her time as a student at Palmerston North Girls’ High School. She had applied to be a Connections Leader in Year 13 showing her strong desire to mentor younger students and give back to her community. She was very talented, showing flair in many subjects and was in several extension groups and committees representing her broad interests. Olivia was always conscientious while still having fun with her classmates.
Over her time at Girls’ High Olivia immersed herself in a range of activities and was really developing and blooming as a student and young person. The theme she chose for her art folio sums her up: “I chose giving flowers as my whanaungatanga which displays colourful and warm themes that represent love, peace and joy.”
While the loss of Olivia is unfathomable, it has been a privilege for those who knew and taught her and we will cherish her memory always. Our PNGHS community extends our love and support to Olivia’s whānau at this very sad time.
