Tournament Week Update
Brief Summary below of Tournament week - 29 August to 2 September.
Hockey:
After a series of tough games, the 1st XI played their final 2 games against Craighead Diocesan and lost 2-1, and Whanganui Collegiate and lost 3-0.
The 2nd XI finished their tournament with a 2-0 win over Gisborne Girls’ High School. The team finished up 7th overall.
Basketball:
The Senior Premier A played Napier Girls’ High School in their semi final and lost 107-69. They then played for 5th/6th against Sacred Heart Lower Hutt.
Netball:
Day Five: The Senior A1 won against Sacred Heart New Plymouth 34-22 in their semi final. The team narrowly lost to Napier Girls’ High School 35-40 in their 5th/6th final game. This unfortunately means the team missed out on Nationals by one place.
Badminton:
The Senior A played Macleans College in the Division 1 final. Although the team went down 1-5 finishing with a silver medal they did manage to take a game and set off Macleans, the first team to do so at the tournament.
The Senior B also finished with a silver medal after going down 2-4 to Newlands College in a closely fought Division 2 final.
Football:
Day Four: The 1st XI played Feilding High School in a fierce battle. The game went to penalties after drawing 1-1. Unfortunately, the team lost on penalties ending the tournament for the team. They got better and better as the tournament progressed but had a few unfortunate results in penalty shootouts.
