I am excited about the opportunities and challenges as the new Deputy Principal at Pāpāmoa College.

I have enjoyed getting to know the students and staff at Pāpāmoa College over the last three weeks and have been impressed with the opportunities that are provided for ākonga within their learning, and also in terms of extra and co-curricular activities.

I am passionate about the place and culturally responsive approaches, active learning strategies, and integrated curriculum. I have a background in outdoor education and enjoy providing opportunities for ākonga to learn through, and about their significant place/s.

I have moved back to the Bay of Plenty after five years at Nayland College where I was Deputy Principal leading curriculum and Pedagogy for five years. Prior to my move to Nelson, I was Head of Physical Education and Health at Mount Maunganui College. I am excited to be back home living and working in my local community.
