On Friday 8 April the 1st XV went to Otorohanga College for a preseason rugby fixture. Otorohanga were exceptional hosts, greeting us with beautiful weather, a full powhiri and a great game of rugby.

There were a number of players on debut for the team. These new players certainly made strong claims for future starting spots with some strong performances. The more experienced players led by example. 

It was a great game from two very willing sides and the 12-12 draw was a true indication of the game. Kash Keenan and Jake Sarginson were the try scorers, both tries being exceptional team tries. Boston Double's sideline conversion was exceptional.
