We were very lucky to have Grant Trebilco from One Wave come and speak with our Middle School on Friday 2 September. He shared some really important messages with us about looking after our mental health through saltwater therapy, surfing, supporting each other, and wearing Fluro!

Our students were invited to wear Fluro accessories with/over their school uniform for this special event. 

Grant was both direct and kind, giving students tips to support mental health and wellbeing. It was such a great opportunity to talk with our students about what they can do to help themselves and help one another. 

We loved the saying of getting a 'check-up from the neck up!'
There were lots of other great messages around:

• It's cool to be kind
• Focus on what you can control
• Finding the things you need to 'Free your Funk'
• Being there to support your mates
• Asking for help if you need it
