Congratulations to past student Shuari Naidoo, who has won The 2022 Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) Alumni Award for Community Leader of the Year! Shuari also be accepting an award and speaking at a Zonta 'Women in Leadership' event on Monday 12 September, she invites all to attend.

The success of inspiring YES Alumni was celebrated at the Young Enterprise Scheme Alumni Awards held in Auckland on Thursday14 July. 

Shuari is CEO of Tauranga Business Moraka Menstrual Cups. Shuari began her Moraka Menstrual Cups business, as part of the YES programme, and won the 2019 Regional Entrepreneur of the Year.

Her business has helped to raise awareness of period poverty and provides a cost-effective, hygienic, sustainable and affordable alternative to disposable period products.

Shuari has been nominated for and won a lot of awards over the past few years, she is currently nominated for The Impact Award for Climate 2022

Shuari has also recently won a Zonta award for women in leadership and is being presented this award and speaking at one of the ZONTA Speaker's Series 2022/23: Women in Leadership, Building a Career in the Public and Private Sector, being held in Tauranga on Monday 12 September.
