In Memory of Mark...

Karla Spicer Tumuaki Tuarua / Acting Deputy Principal —

On Friday 16 September we held a very special Mufti Day in memory of Mark Weedon, to raise money for External Defibrillator machines for Pāpāmoa Community.

It has been a year since this very special member of our school community passed. His whānau set up an amazing 'Give A Little Fundraiser', with the aim of purchasing External Defib Units, accessible 24/7, to be placed in key Pāpāmoa community sites.

Depending on the amount raised (approx $3,500 each) it was intended they will go to the following community locations:

1. Pāpāmoa College
2. Te Akau Ki Pāpāmoa School
3. Pāpāmoa Surf Club

The students raised $1597.50 and the school contributed $420. Well done everyone!

Thanks to the generosity of everyone in the community the goal of raising $10,500 was surpassed with more than $11,000 being raised. Excess funds will go towards purchasing replacement pads and batteries for when they are needed.
