Message from the Principal

Mr Steve Lindsey - Principal —

With term one now at an end I wish to thank everyone for working together to make the start of the year a successful one.

I especially want to thank our parents, whanau and supporters who have worked alongside staff and students with the many activities and events that have occurred including; Middle School camps, assisting with class trips, sports team management, coaching and other events. We very much appreciate and need the support of our community and look forward to your continued support for the remainder of the year.

A special congratulations to the Senior Boys Volleyball team who won their division at the recent Secondary Schools National Volleyball Competition in Palmerston North. They have worked extremely hard over this year (including the summer holidays) to become a tight knit group of players with impressive skills. Their commitment and hard work certainly paid off. Well done boys!

The Rototuna Senior School exchange on Thursday 15 April held at Papamoa College was a great pre-winter season sporting event. It was a fantastic occasion for the whole school to enjoy supporting their peers on a beautiful autumn day on campus. More details below.

On Friday 16 April Senior Student Leaders held an ANZAC service to remember those who had lost their lives and served their country to secure the freedom that we all enjoy today. A poignant and respectful occasion. Senior Student Leaders will also be representing the school and speaking at the Papamoa Civic Memorial Service, Stella Place on Sunday 25 April 12pm - preceded by a march that begins at 11.45am.

There is great news with the campus development project as previously communicated! The preliminary design concepts have now been completed, and the detail aspects are now being confirmed. We will publish an overview of the project for your information at the start of the next term.

Have a good holiday over the next two weeks with your children!

Regards

Steve Lindsey
Principal
