Well done to the students who performed at the Tauranga Performing Arts Competition held at Baycourt on Friday 9 - Sunday18 July.

James Ferns Y9, Isobelle Page Y11 and Tallulah Haynes Y10 all competed in various sections of the Singing Competitions. 

Tallulah took out first place in the Restricted 14 - 18 year section!

Isobelle won the Folk Song 12 & 13 year section and received Very Highly Commended for the 12 & 13 year Own Selection, and Very Highly Commended for a Sacred Song, 'Maria Wiegenlied', in German.  

James received third place in the Folk Song Section singing 'Santa Lucia' in Italian, he also placed third in Musical Theatre under 14 years, and received Very Highly Commended for 'Shenandoah' in the Restricted under 14 years section.  

Mr Leon Gray accompanied them for their songs and Mrs Jan Beets our voice teacher was the Competition Convenor. She has been encouraging her singing students to enter the Performing Arts Competitions for 15 years. We are so fortunate to have such fantastic itinerant Music teachers as a part of our team!
