On Sunday 25 February, Year 11 student, Ashton Guitry achieved an amazing second place in the 16-19 age group of the New Zealand Triathlon Championships in Napier.

Ashton competed in the sprint distance triathlon — comprising of a 750m swim, 20km bike ride, and a 5km run. He had an amazing race finishing in a time of 1:06:07.
