WINTER TOURNAMENT WEEK WRAP UP!!

PC Sport —

From Monday 29 August - Friday 2 September Pāpāmoa College had 7 teams competing in their codes across the North Island in the National Secondary School Winter Tournament Week.

Hockey Boys and Girls 1st XI had an amazing week in Hamilton. Both teams battled hard and came away much stronger from the experience. Special mention to Josh McCaul (Y13) who was the overall top goal scorer at the tournament.

Netball enjoyed a sunny week up in Auckland at UNISS. With some great results and awesome fun had by all. The girls played up in a higher grade for the first time in a few years and more than held their own.

Rugby by the Beach was held at Papamoa College, this again was a great success with some exciting games, it was great to see so many students on the sidelines supporting the boys.

Our Colts Rugby team had a blast at the Hurricanes Tournament down in Wellington. The boys came away a bit battered but they had a great few days away exploring and really bonded as a team

Basketball was played in Rotorua with our Junior Boys and Senior Prem Boys teams both competing in Premier Tournaments. Both teams put in a huge amount of effort and really enjoyed the experience.

We would like to acknowledge the hard work of parents/caregivers, staff, and supporters who made this week possible for our students.

And we wish all our year 13 students that played for the final time for Papamoa College all the best!
