The Young Innovators Awards (yia!) is a fantastic opportunity for students to come up with innovative solutions for everyday problems through to big world issues.

yia! is about creating tomorrow’s innovators in local schools and preparing our future workforce with the skills they need to compete in a rapidly changing work environment. All students from Year 7 to 13 are invited to join the journey.

Students or small groups can work with teachers to refine their ideas and compete against other schools in the Western Bay of Plenty. There are Junior, Intermediate and Senior sections, each having monetary prizes up to $2000.
