Olivia Tilby-Adams - Deputy Head Student —

I started Pāpāmoa College in 2017 in year 7 and I was previously at Golden Sands School.

I am involved in football and cross country and am currently involved alongside others with painting a school mural. I have also previously been involved in mountain biking, multisport events and futsal tournaments, as well as being a UMS Sports Ambassador, Year 10 Camp Leader, Ngatahi Whanau (House) Leader, and Environmental Leader. I have represented Pāpāmoa College at the WBOP Speech Finals and as an Environmental Leader, I have been involved in dune and tree planting on our coastline and walking trails in the Pāpāmoa Hills.

I am extremely proud and grateful to have this opportunity to represent our school. As a Head Student, I would like our students to feel included in and have a sense of belonging to Pāpāmoa College, be proud of attending our school and themselves, and be involved in the school-based events and opportunities on offer. Our school may only reach its potential when students are a part of it and want our school and themselves to be the best version that they can be, and when students and whanau spread positive messages in the community about the fantastic teachers, sports, arts, and clubs available.

At the moment I am unsure what my plans are for the future, however, I am attending a Women's engineering camp at the University of Canterbury this summer so I am excited to see what opportunities are there in Christchurch.
