Basketball Finals
PC Basketball teams finish on a high
With a disrupted final round of games due to Covid Lockdown, only the teams that placed in the top 4 continued to play in the last few weeks of the Taurgaga Basketball Competitions
Finals Warp -
7/8 Orange
PC 7/8 Orange, had another close finals battle, with the game all tided up at 1/2 time against an undefeated ACG Int 1. The team played their hearts out but ACG pushed ahead and won 44-32.
7/8 Boys A
Didn't make the final top 2 but made sure they still took home a medal at the end of the season winning their 3rd & 4th play of the game in Intermediate A Grade comp.
PC Junior Girls
Our Junior Girls Team came agonizing close to taking out the Final of their age group in the Tauranga City Basketball Association Girls Competition, despite holding the lead in the first half, they just couldn't quite retain it, narrowly losing to Waihi College Junior Girls 20-16.
The Team worked really hard, they gave their best. The Coaches, management, and school couldn't be prouder of what they have achieved.
SNR Boys
Senior A Boys team have had a stellar season making it all the way to the finals for the SNR A Grade against Te Kura Kokiri, having lost to TKK earlier in the season, and boys were pumped and ready to play in what turned out to be the Papampa College Teams' game of the season, winning 74-55.
Special mention also to PC student Kiara Lianda who also reffed the SNR Girls Prem final, Kiara did an outstanding job in what has an intense and close game.
Massive thank you to All Papamoa College Coaches, Managers, Parents, and supporters that have spent hours down at the basketball courts this season
