Top Art 2023 is an annual touring exhibition featuring a selection of Aotearoa's top NCEA Level 3 portfolios that achieved Excellence in the Visual Arts in the previous year. Five streams are covered in the Visual arts: Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.

On Wednesday 5 April, our Pāpāmoa College Visual Arts ākonga got the opportunity to enjoy the folio boards (and current exhibitions) on display at the Tauranga Art Gallery, which also provided a platform for them to gain an understanding of what is required to achieve Excellence at Level 3. 

Top Art also provides insight and inspiration for Level 2 art students regarding what is expected at Level 3. The general feedback from their visit today was “awwwwwesome.” Their minds were fizzing! We’d like to thank the Tauranga Art Gallery team for providing their bus service and most of all an inspiring experience for our ākonga.
