Swimming BOP Year 7/8 Zone Champs & BOP Secondary Schools

The BOP secondary school champs were held on Friday 5 April at Baywave. Papamoa College sent a strong team of 12 students along and these swimmers impressed with their performances and overall attitudes. 

Then on Tuesday 9 April, we took a group of 21  Y7/8 students to the BOP Zone Swimming Champs at Greerton. It was another great day in the pool with a number of Personal Bests broken and Papamoa College taking out 3rd place overall on points.  

All the students can be really proud of how they swam as they were up against some tough competition.

BOPSS Champs: 

Luke King  - 2nd 50m backstroke, 3rd 100m Medley & 3rd 100 Free 

Talitha McEwan -  1st 100m Free, 1st Open 200m, 2nd 100m Medley & 3rd 50m Butterfly. 

BOP Year 7/8 Zone Champs:

Chloe Keer-Keer - 2nd 50m butterfly, 2nd 50m free, 3rd 100m Free & 2nd 25m Butterfly. (3rd Overall)

 Troy Walter - 2nd 50m Backstroke, 3rd 25m Butterfly, 3rd 50m Butterfly & 2nd 100m backstroke. (3rd Overall)

Corbin Minchin - 3rd 100m IM 

Arianna Roberts- 1st 100m Breaststroke, 2nd 50m butterfly,  2nd 50m free, 2nd 100m Backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 2nd 100m Free, 1st 50m Backstroke, 1st 25m Butterfly & 2nd 100 IM. ( 1st Overall) 

Sophie Barnard - 1st 50m butterfly, 1st 50m free, 1st 100m Backstroke, 1st 100m Free, 2nd 50m Backstroke, 2nd 25m Butterfly & 1st 100m IM. (2nd Overall)

Amelie Pearson - 1st 100m Breaststroke, 3rd 50m breaststroke & 2nd 100m IM

Holly Williamson - 2nd 100m Breaststroke & 2nd 50m breaststroke. 

Mikaela Ketu - 3rd 50m Free

1st Girls 100m Relay - Yr 7/8 mixed
