Mana Waka - Mufti Day

Pāpāmoa College —

On Thursday 3 April, our Mana Waka Mufti Day was held in support of the Pāpāmoa Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC).

Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we raised $2067 for the club!

The Pāpāmoa SLSC has a strong and active membership that is deeply connected to our beach community. This includes several Pāpāmoa College staff members, students, and whānau.

Each summer, the club’s dedicated volunteer lifeguards contribute nearly 6000 hours to keeping our coastline safe. In addition to their patrol duties, members commit countless hours to training through the Surf Sports Programme—a space that is fun, safe, and focused on helping individuals grow and reach their potential.

Beyond the summer season, Pāpāmoa SLSC also provides a 24/7 year-round on-call rescue service, often working alongside local emergency responders.

We’re proud to support such a vital community organisation. Ngā mihi to everyone who contributed!
