Rock Climbing Champs
On Wednesday 3 May, four Pāpāmoa College students competed in the Year 7/8 BOP Rock Climbing Champs. It was an exciting day with impressive displays of climbing skills.
The competition showcased the students' athleticism, problem-solving skills, and determination as they tackled challenging courses and conquered walls with varying degrees of difficulty. It was a test of strength, technique, and strategy, as well as mental fortitude and focus.
One student who stood out was Taya Richardson, who finished 4th overall in the Year 8 Girls' category. She also achieved an impressive 2nd place in the speed climb, which required agility, quick reflexes, and precision.
Our other amazing climbers were Xander Oosthuizen (Y8), Lenora Pearse (Y7), and Summer Steed-Thornton (Y8), congratulations to you all!
